Scott began his career in foundry arts in 1974. He learned his trade from a family operation in Seattle that catered to the fishing trade. Scott applied what he learned to make bronze belt buckles, which he sold around the country.
With some years of practice he decided to open his own foundry back in his home state of Michigan. From1978-2000 he grew the business to the point of employing four full time people and selling his sculpture nationwide. In 2000 he scaled the business back considerably, creating an entirely new line of pieces, including some of our favorites: toy cars, boats, banks, and space ships with aliens made of cast aluminum with bronze details.
