Michael Sosin received his Master’s Degree at University of California Berkeley, established his own glass studio in 1989 and has continued to study techniques for forming art glass at some of the best art and craft schools in the United States.
“I love the glass blowing process,” Michael explains, “and was passionate about it from the first moment I gathered molten glass from the furnace. I am using the same simple tools to shape my glass that were used a millennium ago.”
His jewel-tone creamers and bud vases are beautifully executed, and the Italian style handles of the pitchers are especially intriguing. They are functional pieces that make a cheerful statement in any collection.
